I was soooo nervous coming in to take my exam. I wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment I got in, I was greeted and spoke to with such kind and caring words. I instantly started feeling relief from my anxiety. Once I got in the back, Tracy and Tammy were nothing short of AMAZING! very comforting and they just made me feel so relaxed and it uplifted my spirits. I thanked them so much for making me feel at ease.

Was there for a thyroid biopsy and the staff was very professional and caring. The nurse assisting with my procedure explained everything that would occur in detail, which helped put me at ease. The doctor was very professional and answered all questions thoroughly.

My most recent experience with my mammogram at RIA/Sterling was wonderful. I don't recall the name of the woman who did my mammogram, but she was terrific and I thanked her for her expertise. I was concerned about a frozen shoulder that hadn't healed 100% so she was extra careful with me. I have minimal pain in my bad shoulder from this mammogram. I'm glad that I keep choosing this group and location for this annual procedure.

I've been to your Prince Frederick office twice now and both times I've had a beyond excellent experience. Shanna was my sonographer today and she was so sweet and professional and made me feel at ease the entire time. I always refer friends to this location.

I've been having all my image studies at the Sterling office for years. Recently, I had more contact with staff than usual due to a diagnosis. I was treated with exceptional professionalism while at the same time with compassion. The manager, all her staff at reception, the technologists and the radiologists are superb and it is evident that they take the golden rule to heart--treating others as they would like to be treated. Thank you RIA!

"I have had numerous X-rays and all my mammograms at this location. I have always had a pleasant experience, never had a problem or issue. Your techs always make you feel at ease even if there is a slight problem. I don’t like to go anywhere else, and I just wanted to let you know. You all do a very good job at the office in Prince Frederick."

COVID-19 Update

The Governors of Maryland and Virginia have closed all non-essential businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Radiology centers have been classified as essential services. 

The health, well-being, and safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We are committed to helping stop the spread of COVID-19. We have taken steps to continue providing only critical service required to meet the needs of the community.  After very careful consideration we have decided to reschedule all non-urgent imaging appointments as well as consolidate our services by adjusting hours and center openings. To protect everyone, we are closely following the guidance of local, national and global health authorities – including the CDC – in addressing current challenges. As circumstances continue to change, we will keep you informed.

As the situation continues to develop in our community, we want to maintain our ability to provide quality service while safeguarding the health and safety of our patients and staff. We realize these are tenuous times and we are actively monitoring the ongoing situation and following the latest available CDC guidelines. In an effort to limit the risk of exposure for our patients and our employees who may be in high-risk categories, we are asking that you:

Please do not go to a Fairfax Radiology Center/Radiology Imaging Associates location if ANY of the following apply:

    1. You have cough, fever, or shortness of breath
    2. You have traveled by airplane or to New York City in the past 14 days or less
    3. You have had contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who is undergoing a test (results pending) for COVID-19.

Instead, please contact your physician for instructions. Patients may call to reschedule their appointment once they are symptom and fever-free for a minimum of 24 hours without the use of medication.
